the nights are long

nothing much today. oh, a few days ago i found some of my old poems (i was trying to post them yesterday but it was "revenge of the popups that automatically download onto your computer and shut your internet explorer down"). please don't copy them. i've had problems with that in the past. it's just mean and stupid and such, and plus you get in lots of trouble. but anyway, for your pleasure, here is one of them:

I need to know the answer
To everything unknown
Like why we are these people
Who are destined to live on our own.

Life is taken for granted
Whether you like it or not.
Trying to plan for the future,
The past we somehow forgot.

Lessons were learned
And lessons were taught.
But in the end
Was it all you've got?

Nothing makes sense anymore
It’s like we’re searching for something more.
Yet everything is dead and gone
And on this road, we've somehow turned wrong.

The sky turns pail
And the sun fails to prevail
The earth spins around
And we all fall down.

A burst of air soars across the room
A shadow that stopped but too soon.
A shadow that mimics the shining star
And somehow never got too far.

Yet this is all about to change
And for once, in the shadow's range
Is a pedistal of light and sound
A lost life that is now found.

i don't have a title for it, so if you have any suggestions email me or drop a line (the commenty thing is down at the bottom of this post).

oh, and i finally got my headers to work. though you probably noticed that. well, it's back to the slave mines for me. talk to you guys tamarie.

and i am left while the tears fall
