today i walked acrossit is early! early for me. sort of. not really.
today i get to clean my room. that should be an adventure! it doesn't make much sense to me really, because i have absolutely nowhere to put anything because i am currently sans a desk and shelves. but! when i get my desk, the computer goes into my room. which will be fantastic.
school starting soon (i know you don't want to think about it, but i am not really having much of a choice) has made me kind of start trying to wake up my brain, which kind of goes into sleep mode during the summer. i still have to read huck finn and finish that painting... and do a bunch of fun yearbook stuff (joy of joys!), which actually shouldn't be too bad. this year will be nothing if not interesting. i will be a basket case, it might provide entertainment.
AHHHH i forgot what the date was crap... i have to fill out those stupid forms. i might post more if i feel like it.

hahaa, i hate them too, but they are good for boredom. and it is odd, because we are all compelled to fill them out and leave them for those who have displayed them. i blame the pigeons.

come on come on come onso i never update, eh? know why that is? if i did, then you would get used to it. and then when school starts and i forget that i even have a blog again, you will get mad at me. i update sort of regularly. but what would you like me to update with? something like this?
today i woke up around noon. well, actually, i woke up at eight and was like "screw this" and went back to sleep. then i ate breakfast. i had mini swirls and read the article on the new zelda game demos in np because i'm a dork. and zelda is the awesomest game ever.
yeah. i think that is sort of boring, too. i lived through it, i don't want to really have to relive it for you. well. some things.
i had a weird dream. there were land sharks. they were very scary. even though they were kind of fake looking. heh. they dressed up in human clothes. one of the scarier ones was wearing a hawaiian shirt and a straw hat. i don't know why, but that one was the scariest.
i need new music! it is sad, i have almost 1000 songs on my computer and i still get bored with it. i have a feeling i will be braving the depths of my dad's cd jukebox soon. he listens to good music. mostly. i will get some from him.
today is dill's birthday, so happy birthday, shorty. shortly we are going bowling. this should be very interesting. my family is really odd. heh. poor dillon. as the youngest, he has been corrupted before he hit double digits. well, his corruption was completed while we were in hawaii.
i will never forget one of the questions he asked. "what's a pussy?"

won't you buy mei have to say i have been having a pretty awesome week. except some minor things, like high water messing with my car. which didn't actually turn out that bad.
umm, i had stuff for this post i swear. i think.
oh, i've been getting a little bit back to my normal self i guess. i've been reading again, which i am personally enthralled about. i read four books while in hawaii. one of them was the reason i got sunburned. warning: do not lay outside reading because you lose track of time and then sunscreen decides to not work. at all.
everybody has to go see charlie and the chocolate factory. it is fabulous if only because it has jonny depp in it. (so does finding neverland, see that too)
also fabulous is the march of the penguins!!! rofl. it was fabulous because i saw it with danielle and we talked most of the way through it. penguins have necks like jello, it is amazing.
in other news! i have just run out of starbursts. that's as far as the train goes, people.

guess who's backi haveth return...ith... yes...
hawai'i was pretty awesome. and that is a huge understatement. Monstrous, actually. because it would get boring just kind of rambling like i usually do about stuff, and this is two weeks worth of stuff, i figured i would make a list. i like making lists.
**i apologize.. in advance? during? no idea. but it is 8 in the morning and i have been up since... well... eight yesterday... and that is hawai'ian time... so.. sometime yesterday? and sleeping will make me all crazy in the head. er. well. more grumpy. i am mildly not sane right now. heh, becca and rachel knows.. when i get really really tired, i go into this sort of stupor. becca says i come off as drunk. but i deviate.**
[list of things done in hawai'i]
first six days in maui:
- snorkeled! a lot. a lot a lot a lot. it was spectacular, i saw an eel AND an octopus. i have decided that octopus' have a cool rating equivalent to moose. which is phenomenally high. there were also a lot of sea turtles.
- drove a bunch. the highway to hana? it was awesome. we stopped and swam at waterfalls and the such. very tropical.
- hiked somewhere near hana, which was just fabulous. it took a while, and was about 5 miles total, through a bunch of mud (did i mention it rains a lot?). and a bamboo forest. to a 181-foot waterfall.
- woke up at 5 something am with nick and my dad and we drove to the top of haliakala, the dormant volcano summit. it was 10000 feet high. and very windy. i have some pictures i will post sometime maybe. i got a cool picture of me and this really big cactus-y looking plant.
- got really sunburned.
- saw CACTUS TREES. unfortunately, there are no pictures.
- a bit of boating
next few days on the big island:
- stayed a night in a house thing on the side of the active volcano. that was cool.
- "hiked" (down a paved road) to go see the lava flow. that was awesome. we also saw it as it went into the ocean. lots of steam.
- drove around the kiluwea (sp?) caldera (it's sort of like a crater).
- walked through a rift on said caldera
- saw cool lava fronds
- walked through a lava tube in the jungle
- took a helicopter ride. that was one of the coolest things. we saw spectacular waterfalls.
- stayed at a very.. interesting... bed and breakfast... these people were just kind of weird.. and that's saying a lot, coming from me.
last six days on kaua'i:
- saw 2985729857258729 chickens. heh. apparently, they got spread all over the island by a hurricane (think about that for a second, it's hilarious). and since there aren't any natural predators excluding humans, they proliferate like rabbits. an actual job on the island is a chicken exterminator for golf courses.
- hiked along a mountain ridge. it was pretty much a cliff and dropped straight off on one side and close to that on the other. but it was all forested and very beautiful. but it was muddy. again. not really a surprise.
- saw a whole lot of rainbows
- surfed (finally). the waves there are so much nicer than galveston. meh. it is hard to call those waves... more like... sludge ripples...
- took another helicopter tour. this one was better by far. we saw that waterfall that's in jurassic park (they filmed a bunch of that movie on the island). and a whole lot of other waterfalls. and flew through a bunch of canyons that were almost exactly like the grand canyons, only prettier, i think. lusher. the grand canyon is just kind of... dry... and meh, really. nice to hike down though, at least at the beginning, it's cool temperature wise.
- sadly, i got really ill on the last day, so we didn't do much.
- also got water in both my ears (i have bad hearing to begin with), so i can barely hear anything now. i have to go to an ent later this weekish.
i know i'm leaving stuff out, i just can't remember what it is at this point in time. oh well. i know a lot of you were probably like man this is boring. or maybe i'm just thinking that i would think it's boring? no idea. ooo, i did get sort of tan. well. tan for me. after i burned.
oh, and danielle! it was depressing, i found no boy for you. or belt. they have no ugly belts, just regular boring ones. i will continue my search!
anyway... i am bored already. toodles for now!
back again

when you dreamwell, this is aloha.
i am so multilingual... only not really.
it is sort of late, and i am actually really tired, so i dont think this post will amount to something particularly spectacular. well. none of my posts do. so what.
i hope to be taking pictures. my excursion today to purchase a new shiny camera failed miserably, so it might be harder than originally thought.
anyway... i get back the 19th. really early in the morning. leave tomorrow at nine. i am gone two weeks...
i will miss you all! especially you, buttons.
what do you dream about

i want to save youso... i leave tomorrow morning. our limo is picking us up at nine. that's right; my insane father decided to rent a limo to take us to the airport. heh, that's what happens when my mom tells him she wants this to be a special and memorable vacation. see, nick graduated this year, and now things aren't really going to be the same as they were. dillon also "graduated" from elementary school, and chris "graduated" from middle school. and i... am going into my junior year.
it's weird to think of how old we are and realize that we're really not that old. let me explain. we all remember when we were in elementary school; fifth graders were the oldest and by far the coolest out of all of us, and personally, i couldn't wait to be a fifth grader. middle schoolers were the infamous "big kids", and to us, high schoolers were adults. and now... now we are those really old kids. little kids see us like that. i just find it kind of odd.
we are going to be upperclassmen. unless you are matt or kevin. in which case you will be seniors, which is just kind of weird, frankly. us being upperclassmen is weird too. the fish are going to seem very young this year, methinks.
i will probably post later today. so it's not quite goodbye yet.
i need you to save me too
