so take away the old, show me the new

HAHAHAH!! good god... man i haven't updated since... thursday. four days. i think it's four... *counts on fingers* no wait it's three... hehehe.

back to friday... *insert fuzzy outline like in flashbacks on tv*
went to school. took a science test. went to yoga. got home from yoga. called the cops... here's the low-down on that;

alrighty; i get home from yoga. anna's mom drops me off, anna comes in with me because she's carrying some books for my mom (my mom and her mom have this book-trade thing going on). she leaves, shuts the gate (remember that; it's important). so, not being home for more than five minutes, the doorbell rings. i go down quietly to see who it is. can't see through the peep-hole; my mom has a wreath on the front door (that thing is so annoying, you can't see who's there). so i try to see out the window without beeing seen, as we're not supposed to answer the door when our parents aren't home (oh, i'm at home by myself, by the way). so then, i see some woman through the sheerish curtains in the dining room, and don't recognize her at all. she does NOT look like somebody who lives in my neihborhood (dressed not that nicely, and overall a little like she's in the wrong part of town, not to be mean, she turned out to be a really nice person and all, its just at the time it added to my uncomftorbleness). so, i stand in wait in a corner of the dining room. i look out the window; through the curtain i can still see a huge, white, non-descript truck that's only a few wheels short of an 18-wheeler. then, i hear somebody banging on the back door. it wasn't knocking, but a metallic sound on the window (our doors are mostly glass inside a large wooden frame). then i scoot into the kitchen; i hear talking, but no recognizeable voices. so i go back into the dining room and around the stairs, so i can see through the window in the door that was being banged on; nothing but a man and a woman walking away, and i can only see one of the mans arms as he swings it. it was thrust out of a red cut-off sweatshirt. the were walking further down our driveway, from where they could then get to our backyard and the other back door. i took the phone and bolted quietly up the stairs. i then proceeded to look out the window above this very computer, to see if i could see them. nothing. so i called my mom. told her what had happened. she said to call my neighbor and ask him to come over. this guy is 6'7"ish, and pretty strong for a man in his 50s. so i called. nobody home. then i resorted to the last option my mom had given me; press the rocket-dial on our phone, which automatically calls the police. so i did. a really bored-sounding lady answered the phone and noncalantly said "police station. what's the problem?" I told her what was going on, and i started getting really freaked out. the truck was moving again, as the man had apparently gotten back inside. the woman was leaning on the stop sign that's right next to our driveway, watching. obviously they didn't plan on leaving. the truck pulled into the street that runs right next to our house, then tried pulling into our driveway. truck was too long, so he tried again. then he gave up and merely turned the truck around. then one of my neighbor ladies (there's a whole group of them, one of whom is always out walking. so thusly they are called the neighbor ladies) went up to unknown woman and apparently asked her what she was doing (i was in my room up on the second floor, with a tree obstructing my vision, and i couldn't hear what she was saying). the unknown lady pointed to my house and said something. neighbor lady walked off, apparently unconcerned (when one such neighbor lady gets concerned, she turns red and waves her hands around a lot and sticks out her bottom jaw...). all the while i'm relaying this to the police lady, who seems a bit more concerned. asked me where my house was (which i told her when she first answered the phone) and my name (also told her that), told me she'd send over some units but to stay on the phone with her until she said that it was ok. the units came, the man gets out of the car. i can't see his face; there's a branch in the way. the police lady (not the one on the phone, the one talking to the man outside my house) talks to both suspects for a while, then radios the lady on the phone with me. says one the man claims to be my uncle, tells me to come down to the back door and see his drivers lisence to check. so i go down the stairs. truth be told, it was my uncle. my uncle eric, to be percise; my mom's third youngest brother. he's a nut; likes to pop in and such unexpectadly. obviously. so i follow the police woman outside, hang up with the one on the phone. go talk to my uncle. he thought it was all hilarious; he'd planned to surprise us. i surprised him... im never going to live this one down. i'm such a paranoid freak. once i called danielle and asked her and her mom to come over because a UPS man came around 7 and was writing something on his ledger when i woulnd't answer the door (to note that nobody was home). his pen had a light at the end, i thouht somebody was trying to see throught the windows... hehehe.

yesterday was anna's party; really fun. seth lost!! he won't say it though. ha. i won, just for the record.

today? i woke up at noon. piano lesson. procrastinating. still procrastinating. its raining! though its a weird sort of rain. it pours for a few seconds, then drizzles. pour, drizzle, pour, drizzle... and so on, for the last half hour.

well... i have to go do my english hw. so i'm going to go. procrastinate a little longer...

and i feel like i can fly when i stand next to you
